Find Natural Relief from Constipation, Gas & Indigestion
Rheumatoid arthritis is a long-term condition, and most people managing it have already been through years of medication, flare-ups, and appointments before they start looking for anything else.
At Qi Balance Natural Healing Center, joint pain and RA-related stiffness are supported through acupuncture, cupping, and Sujok therapy – used alongside your existing rheumatologist, not in place of one.
If you’ve searched for a rheumatologist near me in Bangalore and want to understand your options beyond medication alone, here’s what to know.
The 4 Stages of Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis typically progresses through four recognised stages. This is general information to help you understand what a diagnosis means – it isn’t a substitute for staging by a qualified rheumatologist, who will confirm your stage through bloodwork, imaging, and clinical examination.
Stage 1 – Early Inflammation
The lining of the joint (the synovium) becomes inflamed, causing swelling, pain, and stiffness. At this stage, there’s usually no visible damage to the bone on an X-ray yet.
Stage 2 – Moderate Progression
Continued inflammation begins to damage the cartilage between joints. This can lead to joint space narrowing and the first signs of reduced mobility.
Stage 3 – Severe Progression
Damage extends beyond cartilage into the bone itself. Pain, swelling, and muscle weakness typically increase, and visible joint deformities may start to appear.
Stage 4 – End-Stage
Inflammation may decrease at this point, but the joints are often significantly damaged in some cases the joint stops moving altogether. Pain and disability are usually at their most limiting in this stage.

How Qi Balance Supports RA & Joint Pain, Alongside Your Rheumatologist
rheumatology practice. We don’t diagnose RA, prescribe disease-modifying medication, or replace your rheumatologist’s role in managing the condition.
What we do offer is hands-on support for the pain, stiffness, and circulation issues that often come alongside RA and chronic joint pain – using pulse and tongue diagnosis to understand your specific pattern of discomfort, then building a plan around acupuncture, cupping therapy, and Sujok point therapy.
Many clients pair this with foot reflexology for broader circulation support. Read more about our founder’s background and approach on the About Us page, or browse the full services this draws from.

Rheumatoid Arthritis FAQ
Common Questions About
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Alongside, always. Qi Balance is designed as complementary support and works best in coordination with your rheumatologist's care, not as a replacement for it - always keep your rheumatologist informed of any complementary treatment you start.
Acupuncture and cupping don't interact with medication the way another drug would, but you should tell your practitioner what you're taking so the session can be planned around active flare-ups or sensitive joints.
It only supports the pain, stiffness, and circulation side - RA is an autoimmune condition, and only your rheumatologist's medical treatment addresses the underlying disease process. Complementary care is about comfort and mobility, not disease management.
In general terms: Stage 1 involves joint lining inflammation with no bone damage, Stage 2 sees cartilage damage begin, Stage 3 involves damage to the bone itself, and Stage 4 is end-stage joint damage. See the full breakdown above - and always confirm your stage with a rheumatologist.
Qi Balance Natural Healing Center isn't a rheumatology clinic, but offers complementary joint pain and RA support in Marathahalli, Bangalore, alongside your existing rheumatologist. Explore Sujok therapy and hand color therapy as complementary options for stress-linked flare-ups.
